Guyana an introduction

Guyana is known as "The land of many waters." A name given to it by the indigenous population that first inhabited this lush green country of mine. The country has a lot of rivers and creeks and since this was a farming colony for the Dutch and English, the many canals and trenches that can be seen in almost every village was due to the fact there was need for irrigation channels to irrigate crops.
